Our Facilitators

Catharine H. Murray (9/17)

Catharine H. Murray, author, poet, and online writing instructor, lectures and leads workshops on healing through writing, listening and trauma-resolution. She draws on her expertise as peer counselor and Traumatic Incident Resolution facilitator to create communities of trust in her classroom. Her memoir, Now You See the Sky, set in rural Thailand, tells the story of her six-year-old son’s journey through cancer and in 2019 topped Portland’s Best-seller list.

Gina Brodsky (9/17)

Gina Brodsky has been coaching, advising, counseling, and supporting youth in some fashion for over two decades. As a public high school counselor and substance abuse counselor she has learned that making youth feel seen, heard, and valued is the best offense to prevent mental health and substance use related issues. Currently, as a prevention specialist and Student Services consultant for schools she tries to motivate and educate communities to be their best for the youth they serve and loves to promote the discovery and practice of natural highs!

For 25 years, Peter Welch worked as a Counselor and Health Educator at the Health and Wellness Center at the University of New Hampshire. He currently teaches in the Women’s and Gender Studies Department at UNH and is also the Chapter Coordinator for labor unions AAUP-UNH and UNH Lecturers United-AAUP. He’s currently enrolled in the MFA writing program at Bay Path University.

Peter Welch (9/17)

Gelsey Amelia is a queer multidisciplinary artist currently residing in rural Maine. Her work uses performance, illustration, ritual & installation to explore themes of healing through transmutation, gay eroticism, nature, ancestry, mythology, liminal spaces, & utopian/dystopian visions. She is a founding member of New Fruit art collective & has spent the past decade focusing on the creation of collectively-run spaces holding experimental opportunities & experiences within them.

Gelsey Amelia (9/10)

Kate Brown is a Certified Reflexologist and Reiki Practitioner. She’s also a mother, grandmother, beekeeper, interfaith chaplain, grief facilitator, nature lover, and curiosity addict. She has a strong belief that healing comes from within and sometimes you have to give yourself a nudge to invest in that healing. Kate works directly with you to guide you into noticing your body’s innate ability to replenish, restore, relax, and heal. Kate’s passion for Reflexology comes from a deeply rooted knowing of the transformative power of human touch and intuitive listening.
